Why didn't anyone tell me puppies are so much fun?
I've never had a puppy. All of the dogs that we had came as adult from shelters. Brownie was different. She came from the next door neighbor who no longer wanted her.

She's a riot! Right now Bailey and Sadie are laying beneath the desk. Brownie came over and crawled on top of them and laid down. She barks in a funny high-pitch that sounds like she's trying to say her first words.

Yeah, it's not without problems, but I'm very glad that she came into our lives.

1. Aww... that is precious!
We got our puppy in April and the two older dogs still can't stand her! LOL

I have corgis, though. They tend to "bicker" a lot!

2. Corgis!
My friend had a Corgi who used to "herd" us over to his treats after dinner. He'd get us standing in front of the treat jar, then would look back and forth between us and the treats until we noticed and gave him one. He had one rule, ruthlessly enforced: No Cats on the Floor, so the poor cat had to live on the windowsills, couches and counters.

My apartment was broken into while I was asleep, and my friend lent me her Corgi every night until I was able to move out - it was the only way I could sleep, knowing that the smart and vigilant little fellow was asleep on the floor next to me. I have such a soft spot for corgis ever since then.

3. Great story!
Yes, they are very alert, excellent watchdogs in a small package. I swear they know when my husband leaves work. They sit on the steps waiting for him when he is still miles away. How the heck to do they know that, when he doesn't leave at the same time everyday!

We have three right now, so they are always jockeying for position in the pack order. They are all very sweet dogs, but kind of "bossy"! The puppy is low dog on the totem pole (for now).

18. My cat knows when either of us are coming home. It's bizarre. It doesn't matter if we walk
drive or take the train, and it doesn't matter what time. AND, we live in a condo building with 20 other tenants. He goes to the front door and sits and, sure enough, a few minutes later someone comes home. He won't go sit by the front door any other time.

Puppies are a joy..for us hoomanz..and for the rest of the doggie pack as well.

Not sure if it is Sadie or Bailey..but one of your dogs looks like a real live LION!!! :D

Enjoy them. They look like huge bundles of furry love.

8. Hehe
She's a doll. Came from a shelter in Indiana to the Milwaukee Humane Society. We (Paul, me and the vet) think she might have been abused because of how horribly timid she is. She's coming out of her shell, but we don't think she'll ever be what she might have been.

14. Bailey is recreating her puppy pile.
You know...that warm squiggly mass of baby dogs that happens when mama dog whelps.
I'd like to sleep in a puppy pile myself.
