5. Oh, good idea. I think I'll make my own.
First--Shreveport? Wow, that place most have changed a lot since I used to drive through there. :) )

1-- Disneyworld (I like corny manmade events, and it doesn't get cornier or phonier than the World)
2-- Biloxi, MS (In addition to being "back home" for me, I love the beach and the casinos.
3-- Santa Fe, NM and the Torquouse Trail.
4-- San Antonio, TX (The Riverwalk, Fiesta Texas, Seaworld, the missions, and nearby New Braunfels/Gruene. It's an underappreciated tourism mecca.)
5-- New Orleans, LA
6-- Gulf Shores, AL to Orange Beach, FL
7-- The Grand Canyon.
8-- Paris. It's been a couple decades, but you never forget turning 20 in Paris.
9-- DC. Haven't been there enough.
10- The Davis Mountains/Indian Lodge, TX. Hard to explain the attraction unless you've been there.

6. Great choices!
Love NoLa, Santa Fe, and anywhere in Arizona is fine by me. Spent a lot of my life there and even though the politics suck, basically, can't get enough cactus or "dry" heat. :D

And Shreveport is still, um, Shreveport. But it is 20 miles over the border and NOT Texas. :P

7. I haven't been through there since the gambling stuff started.
My sister was born there, and when I lived in Dallas I drove through it regularly on my way back to Mississippi. Back then it was just a pothole on the interstate. Once, literally--we were driving through and part of the interstate was closed because of a sinkhole. The other knowledge I have of it is that a high school friend of mine was murdered there after surviving the first Iraq war, and that the most racist ear doctor I've ever met hated his internship there.

I thought of including Dallas on my list, but really that would have just been because of Snuffers cheddar fries. And the State Fair. And Fort Worth, which isn't part of Dallas. :)

9. OOh. Scottsdale is nice isn't it?
I fell in love with it earlier this year. I'm now very glad my Mayo doc left MN for AZ- I now have a real good reason to go every year.

4. Ten favorite websites to waste a day on while becoming more informed.
1--DU (Yeah, I'm sucking up)
2--Cnet.com (for technology reviews and news)
3--Bankrate.com (for bank and financial issues, like finding best mortgages, credit card rates, banks, etc.)
4--Rottentomatoes.com (for upcoming movies and random movie stuff)
5--IMDB.com (for looking up cast info on any movie. Often used in conjunction with Rottentomatoes.com, and sometimes DU)
6--Snopes.com (To keep from looking like an idiot on DU or Facebook).
7--Facebook.com (because I really do want to know about my first girlfriend's new husband's dumb-ass kids)
8--Cooking.com (for recipes and gadgets I need to learn to not live without).
9--Audible.com (Commercial site, but it's still fun to read reviews and check out audiobook lists for future reference)
10-Auschron.com (Austin chronicle. Offbeat local news, upcoming music and theater, useful reviews on local food and drink and stuff. As quirky as Austin).

3-- Alicia Keys
4-- Tish Hinojosa
5-- Vanessa Williams

7-- Joss Stone (She's not quite there yet musically, but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBH8o8XXnVM )

Works well enough for a list. I thought about Katie Perry, but had to admit that that was mustly lust. :)

14. Michelle
Did you hear the news on Michelle's new CD? Well, if you didn't, she's releasing a 6 song EP called "Everything Comes and Goes." She will also release a new CD called "Different Kind of Country." There's no release dates yet but the EP is suppose to come out this summer.

Is Joanna still making music? I haven't heard about her since she got kicked off American Idol.
