How long does a watermelon..

3. It stays good until you fill it with vodka.

You know, cut a hole in it, mash up the insides and pour vodka (or what have you) into it. Then it becomes quite naughty, as folks drink from it.

haven't done that in quite some time. We used to poke the hole pour in the vodka/grain and let it get real cold. Talk about a party. :-)

Storage is the key. If you have a root cellar, that's the best place to store them, but even there two weeks is pretty much the most you'll get out of them.

One week should be OK even if you've stored it at room temperature. There's only one way to find out.

I'll cut it tomorrow. I never worry once it's been cut, cuz it doesn't last very long.

8. As long as it goes "thunk" when you tap on it, it's OK - It may even have improved some.

If your finger goes into it when you tap it, it's too far gone...
