Emmy nominations
It was a "Glee"-ful morning.

The Fox phenomenon about a high school glee club scored 19 Emmy nominations Thursday morning -- the most of any series -- including best comedy series and acting nods for Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer.

It wasn't the only freshman show to catch the eye of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. ABC's comedy "Modern Family," about a delightfully dysfunctional clan, earned 14 nominations. Among them: best comedy series, writing, directing and several best supporting actor and actress nominations, including one for Sofia Vergara, who along with "Community" star Joel McHale helped to announce the nominations.

2. Me too
I bet she'll probably win.

I was also excited about Chris Colfer getting a nomination. Most of the award attention seems to have been focused on Jane and Lea Michele so it was a nice surprise to see him get a nomination too.

3. I really liked the backhand that the Emmy people gave to Jay Leno.
Nominating the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien as Best Variety or Comedy Show. When that was announced there were some audible gasps (and some laughs?) in the audience.

Not surprised at "Glee."

4. Dexter! Michael C. Hall & John Lithgow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Nurse Jackie
and Edie Falco! The best shows on in years. I don't get a chance to watch GLEE but am sure I'd love it since I'm a big Jane Lynch fan. Congrats to all
