After 7 years in Dubai, I finally tried camel curry

It was pretty good, although the best part of the meal was the rice- it was made with onions, cardamom, saffron and cashews and it was delicious. Next up, camel chocolates.

1. Camel chocolates?

Are they like cow pies?

They are chocolates made with camel milk. Camel milk is naturally salty, so it should be interesting.

3. could you taste the meat?

I'm imagining a mutton-like flavor.
The point of curry kind of being to disguise the taste of meat from warm climates and no refrigeration makes me suspicious/wary.:P Is it eaten in other forms much? Roasted or grilled young animal?

it mostly tasted like beef. They had Camel biryani, which my friend had, and camel ribs, too. Oh, and camel burgers. I'm going to go back some day and try those.

6. Well, I wouldn't go out of my way to try camel milk

I've tried camel milk, and I don't care for it. They even had camel ice cream here for a while, but I haven't seen any lately. I would like to try camel chocolates because chocolate is strong enough to drown out any strange taste, and besides they have cardamom camel chocolates, and I am crazy about anything with cardamom.
