1. No alcohol with antibiotics. Otherwise it doesn't matter, but only in
very moderate moderation.

2. No antibiotics...

it ran its course within 48 hrs, pretty much. Though I feel like I lost a day and a 1/2 of my life.

3. Getting the virus drunk so it passes out can only be good.

Think about hand sanitizers - they are normally alcohol-based because the alcohol deactivates viruses. :)

(this might be why skinner doesn't allow medical advice here)

4. lol!
I'm not asking DU for medical advice. Just curious what people here thought. I know the right answer... not that I'll do the right thing. But I know the right answer. ;-)

5. I wouldn't, but it wouldn't sound good to me, and my rule would be:
Go with what sounds good

8. Bad idea
Alcohol can inflame the lining of the stomach. With a virus wreaking havoc, the last thing you need is any more extracurricular activities in the old tummy.

Alcohol also has diuretic properties, and dehydration is a common side problem with stomach viruses.

9. So you need to drink so badly, that you cannot wait until...
...you have recovered from a stomach virus. That's kind of bad. :-(

Anyway, I hope you feel better. Among nonserious diseases, stomach bugs are the absolute worst.

11. Well it would certainly keep the kidneys functioning.
You never buy beer, only rent it.
