How do I know when Phoenix is having a heatwave?
It's supposed to reach 112 degrees here today.

Would that count as a heatwave or just be a typical summer day on the desert? :7

10. far as i know that's a typical summer day in phoenix
but it's a dry heat, can't say it bothers me much, i still tell the story of how it was 115 degrees as we drove thru the valley and i told my (v. concerned) traveling companion it was a joke, it just wasn't hot to me (i'm from louisiana)

yah by the end of the trip he had heat exhaustion, i'm still feeling guilty abt it to this day but to me IT JUST WASN'T HOT

11. as a native of Palm Springs, Ca., I'd say that's a typical
summer day in the desert.

Unfortunately, PS doesn't have monsoons :( A sister and brother in law lived in Flagstaff for little more than a decade, and I *loved* the summer monsoons.
