Raw power and emotion. Bad luck that PG crashed and the rest sold their souls for some silver.

3. The "Boston Tea Party" set is the stuff of legends
I remember the original vinyl release, which had a horrendous bootleg sound quality, but the performance was undeniably red hot. Then someone found the master tapes and did it right. The 2 to 4 minute tracks on their studio albums didn;t hint at the powerhouse jam band they were in concert (especially on the 25-minute "Rattlesnake Shake," which cools down to a bit of "Albatross," then kicks back into high gear again)...

The "Boston Box" (which contained Volume 3) is out of print (two copies on Amazon for $148 and $195), as is Volume 3 itself (8 copies on Amazon from $69 to $199), but the real meat of the performance is still available on the single Volume 1 and Volume 2 CDs ($11.99 each).

6. Thanks for this. As much as I loved early Fleetwood Mac, I prefered Peter Green's work
with John Mayall on A Hard Road. Same with Clapton and the Beano album. Maybe it's because those albums are the first time I heard either artist.
