Can't figure out the Oasis hate around here.

Yeah, they leaned heavily on the Beatles, and the Gallagher boys can be a bit of a pain, but come on.

4. I really loved the hell out of "D'You Know What I Mean?"...

...when the "Be Here Now" album was released, I worked down the street from a strip mall that had a little CD store. It was less than a half mile away...the day it went on sale I spent my morning break walking down there to buy it. I always got a kick out of the fact that it had the date on the front, because it reminded me of that particular place and time. It was 13 years ago and the guy who was my boss at the time remains one of my best friends to this day...just spoke with him a couple of days ago, as a matter of fact.

I had a daily 90 mile round-trip commute to work in those days...most of it freeway driving, thank God...and I remember flying down the 680 freeway with "D'You Know What I Mean?" turned up really, really loud.

On the one hand, the Gallagher Bros. were high-maintenance, pain in the ass divas. On the other, they cranked out some pretty fine songs. Not ALL of them...but ENOUGH of them.
