From Sabbath in the old days all the way through NWOBHM, sidetracked by Hollywood hair metal in the 80's (the music became a joke, but the scene beautiful, man), set straight again by Speed Metal and Thrash, and on to Black, Death, Doom, Sludge and Post-Metal. My second concert ever was Black Sabbath's Mob Rules tour. My last three shows were Heaven And Hell, Dethklok, and Mastodon. My next show is Iron Maiden with Dream Theater day-after-tomorrow.

8. Yeah, buddy!

I like the old stuff and the new stuff, and good music can be found in all of the sub-genres of metal. Nothing helps blow off some steam for me like sticking some thrash in the cd player and cranking it up! I also have Sirius satellite radio and they have a metal channel. I've run across a lot of good music on there that I otherwise wouldn't have heard elsewhere. Some newer bands I like: Killswitch Engage, Devildriver, Municipal Waste, and Opeth. If you want to hear some extreme shit, subscribe to Sirius online and check out Liquid Metal's "Beyond the Pit" program at midnight through the week. An hour of nothing but black metal, death, and grindcore.
