2. Splenda is definitely better than the Rumsfeld neurotoxin Aspartame (NutraSweet)
But the best non-sugar is definitely Stevia.

3. I'm not sure it is, really
I keep reading the scientific papers on this, and all I am sure of so far is that it is newer and less studied at this point. Plus the taste isn't quite as horrible.

5. I use xylitol when I can.
Truvia doesn't have quite as bad an after taste as some other brands of stevia. I'm growing the stevia plant to experiment on my own. I'd be better off just doing without any sweetener.

So do I, but I try not to use enough to get a pizza.

6. I use it
on breakfast cereal. Cold (shredded wheat and Grape Nuts), or hot (oatmeal) - I think it works quite well. I'm told that it works well in baking, but I don't have any first hand knowledge about that.

7. What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind...

8. For me, that crap triggers migraine
Never had one until I started using Splenda, now I can't ingest artificial sweetener of any kind since that shit f*cked me up.

9. Since I can't have aspartame
(those warnings on cans of diet soda apply to me)

Most of the time, if I want a no-calorie soda, Splenda is my only option. Fortunately, I don't mind Pepsi One. Wish it came in bottles, though - I find cans less convenient.

There is Zevia, with Stevia, but it's a lot more expensive than Pepsi One. And I haven't been able to try their Dr. Pepper-like flavor yet.

(Dr Pepper is really my soda of choice, but I don't want the HFCS and can't have the aspartame)

16. I tried cutting my daily serving of coffee with a bit
of splenda in an attempt to use less sugar. It works, but is still a bit weird. I'll probably have to do the whole "no sugar" thing at some point in my future, and I think splenda could do it for me.

Until then, I prefer real sugar.

Q3JR4.

Stevia is the exception.
