Mac users, I need some help!!
My family has an iMac G5 that we bought a few years ago and it has worked great for us. The problem we are having is tha when we put the computer to sleep at night, in the morning, we cannot get the computer to start. To remedy this, I have been shutting it down and it starts up fine.

Now, a new problem has come up. When I first start up the computer and try to connect to the internet, the computer will not connect. I have to shut the computer down, unplug the computer, plug it back in, start it up and then it will connect to the internet.

I have researched a bunch of forums but have not really found a fix for this problem. If anyone has any suggestions for me as to how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate them.

Thanks!

5. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
If your computer does not retain parameter RAM (PRAM) settings when it is turned off, this generally indicates that the battery needs to be changed.

7. Thank you -- I think it might be the battery.
I tried resetting the PRAM, but this did not help.

I will change the battery.

Thanks, again!
