2. So is mine...
I can't look at anymore today. Whenever I see them, I start to cry. Heart wrenching!

3. I know. I can't bear it. The birds, the turtles, all the wildlife,
every creature that has to swim through all of that muck - the fish, the dolphins, the seals, the whales... For that alone, I want BP to pay, and pay, and pay, and pay. Ad infinitum. And still, that won't bring any of that life back.

 That one on the cover of the HuffingtonPost a few hours ago just tore me apart.

4. Me too. When I was a kid my grandfather would take me to see them.
I love watching the brown pelicans glide slowly, single file just above the surface of the water, and perch on the old posts from piers from long ago. They have such dignity and silliness all at once. I used to fly kites on the beach and the gulls would come and play with them, hanging alongside in the wind as if to say "What kind of bird are you?" The Least Terns, as I've said here before, lay their eggs right alongside tall grasses in the sand, in nesting grounds, and then swoop all over feeding their babies and protecting the newborn flock.

We are destroying them. And we will regret their loss forever. Life can only take so much.

5. I know. There was that one picture of a bird laboring to breath through all the oil and
I wanted to scream. It is really really sad.

6. They aren't even showing the dolphins on the beach, are they?
I feel a slow torture, Lefty.

God damned that CEO. God damn their expense of advertising for "re-branding". God damn their dividends. God damned the nickels and dimes being tossed the way of the fisherman

Is there a special karma or hell for these people?
