How committed is any pacifist?
Just how deep does non violence run through one's veins? Ghandi, awesome guy, a wonderful example of somebody who was able to change the world through means of non-violence. But does even the most devout pacifist have violent thoughts? Do you think Gandhi ever just got ticked off and REALLY wanted to smack someone up, but instead he sucked it up, concentrated on his breathing and suppressed his rage with an eating disorder?

disclaimer: not meant to offend, I think Gandhi rocked, just curious......

1. A pacifist has rejected, to some extent, violence as a solution...
...and is not a robot created without such thoughts.

Personally, I think all violence is wrong, but I can still admire the application of minimal force needed to preserve life. Non-violence is something to be aspired to, according to one's experience, convictions and the necessity of the moment.

2. its ironic how many pacifists die violently
like they so enrage the violence prone with their existence that they must be stopped, ASAP.

5. I'd say about 5% are committed to the bitter end.
The rest?

Throw them in the right situation and human nature takes it's course.
