1. Mowing the yard...
I'm from SE Alaska, and we barely got grass to mow...when I moved to Missouri, I was introduced to the Lawn Care culture, and I absolutely hate it. I keep telling my wife, if I had it my way, I'd kill off all the grass, and lay asphalt all the way around the house.

3. I put laundry, although it's just folding and putting it away. I like sorting, washing, and drying
or putting it on the line just fine. The folding and putting away are a tedium to my soul.

4. I really don't mind any type of household work but
if I HAD to pick one I'd say washing the dishes. I have some expensive pots and pans, and delicate Waterford crystal that I can't put in the dishwasher. It's the only thing I do around the house that can be a nuisance.

10. Me too. So time-consuming.
Then as soon as you put the damn clothes on, they wrinkle. Whatever happened to "permanent press" anyhow?

23. I really enjoy ironing. There is a secret, though, that I will share.
The first step is to make sure you are good and high. The second is to have a bunch of Law and Orders recorded.

Problem solved. Actually, my way makes almost all of the chores mentioned tolerable.:)

7. I HATE mopping / cleaning floors. HATE IT
Don't mind dishes, laundry, lawncare (though I think high maintenance lawns are stupid). Don't love cleaning the bathroom, either, but I'd rather clean the tub than the floors.

12. Other...
Mopping floors. I hate, hate, hate mopping the floors. I don't mind the bathrooms, the tub is a pain in the ass, but mopping is the worst. I'd rather cut the grass.

13. Plumbing repairs
I'm good with most other stuff but I don't know how to do plumbing. I've got to change the toilet flow valve this weekend. The directions don't seem that bad but it will go badly. Bank on it.

Guess which category I fit into.

18. I can deal with most of that
We have no lawn, one of the benefits of seaside living, but there is the pool to take care of, but it's rewarding to hop into after working on it.
Laundry is a snap
I love cooking, it shows after a weekend full of great holiday meals.
Groceries I can do, especially the shopping part, it's one of my escape times from the family.
No kids, though I do occasionally have to pick up a toy mouse from one of the cats.
Showering is quick and easy, as is shaving and brushing my teeth, no problems there
Dishes? That's what the dishwasher is for.

Cleaning? Forget about it, I hate it, I loathe it, I despise it, I want to win the lottery so I can build a new house and hire a housekeeper.

I think you know what I picked in the poll.

24. cooking meals
I absolutely hate to cook. I'll take on any number of household chores to avoid cooking and my wife takes full advantage of this. Fine with me, as long as I don't have to cook.

27. cleaning the bathroom after my girlfriend has spent the night
her morning routine must require a dozen different products, which she leaves precariously balanced on the top of the shower door frame. And is seemingly unable to shower without shedding as much hair as a chemo patient which means I am fishing long red hairs out of the drain whilst various objects fall on my head.
