I got a late phone call last night.
One of my neices was worried about her cousin, also a neice. I phoned my sister to get info. She starts crying and asks me who told me? Who told me what? All she would say, through tears,is that her daughter was alive and ok. That I can't tell anyone anything. End of call. So I phoned my neice, told her, her cuz is ok,and just leave it at that. Lousy sleep last night.

1. My dear Swede...
Don't you hate it when they can't tell you anything? Like there's a big conspiracy or something, and you're on the outside?

I'm glad your niece is OK. Maybe when things settle down a big, you'll get to hear just what was going on...

I hope that you'll sleep better tonight...

3. This kinda made me jump to a conclusion

If something happens to a young woman and that woman's mother wants to keep it a secret and is distraught it means there's some sort of protectiveness going on. Which, in my mind, means something that can be perceived as 'shameful' has happened.

I may be way off mark here but having lived with what I thought was a shameful secret that would make people judge me harshly that's the first thing I thought.

I hope I'm wrong.
