choice of summer vacation

I am such a coastal gal. I lived in Colorado for a summer and I'm just not a mountain person.

spend the morning-early afternoon hiking in the mountains and end the day lying on the beach. B-)

I'm not a fan of warm weather, although I would like to see a beautiful beach like the one in the photo in person at least once. I like cold ocean coasts better.

7. Tropical islands are a year-round destination, so I would go to those in the winter.

Mountains for the summer, no question. Many mountain roads are closed in the winter.
