NBC Cancels ‘Law & Order’
Edited on Fri May-14-10 02:49 PM by elleng

Last episode, May 24.

NBC said Friday that it had ordered a new series, “Law & Order: Los Angeles,” or “LOLA” for short. It also renewed “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” for another season. The network plans to officially announce its 2010-11 schedule on Monday in New York.

NBC is also quietly exploring the possibility with Mr. Wolf that the show may be able to produce some kind of movie or extended retrospective next season to give the series a proper send-off.

2. That's sad, but for the last several years, SVU was the flagship
that was the show getting all the (deserved) attention and emmy nominations. I wonder how long until Criminal Intent bites the dust too. Goldblum is great, but it is an ENTIRELY new cast. Not many shows can survive a TOTAL cast turnover. At least the Original Law and Order did its turn over in phases, so there was always people from the last cast staying with the new cast.

3. Some version appears to be on 24 hours a day...
I can get caught up in the last ten minutes of an episode. I don't think I'll ever run out of those shows to watch.
