4. I got that vibe
which is why I decided to post pics of them. Of course I didn't plan on them (pics) being that big. :-) Now I know better.

2. My dear one_voice!
Great job! And your babies are very cute too!

To resize: Just click on the picture once you have it in Photobucket. This click takes you to another page. Then, you just place your mouse on the picture (NO clicking) and a bunch of commands appear at the top of the picture. One of them is resize.

You click on resize, and it will show you some choices in a drop-down menu.

Choose one and there you are...

Always, ALWAYS use the preview button here before posting any picture! It will save you trouble! I have learned this the hard way...

:hi:

3. Thanks..
Someone on another thread was telling me how to adjust the picture size..I'm so tech-challenged. I love that you guys are so helpful too.

Of course I learned AFTER I posted another huge picture on another thread. :-)

5. No worries, sweetie!
I've seen pictures here that make yours look small by comparison!

You're doing really well, especially considering you just learned how today!

It took me weeks to get good at it.

:D

6. Beautiful dogs!
And they're only too big if they're so huge that you can't figure out what they are, LOL. I've seen plenty of those. Medium size are the easiest to view, so that's what I post, but your pups are viewable and quite photogenic! :hi:

7. They're both yours?
What a great picture. I love when it looks like dogs are posing for a picture. Beautiful puppies (I call all dogs puppies).

I think it's so sweet when a big dog and a small dog "hang out". It's like the bigger ones know to be gentle. And in most cases the small one is the boss.

Believe it or not, both my dogs were "throw-away" dogs. The first, was/is a little neurotic, and some consider her small so the people that had her were either going to give her to a shelter or a pet store (uuuggghhh)so we took her.

The second one, she's just a big goofball. Her underbite is way too much, they cropped her tail too short, and she's no where near show quality. The breeder was going to have her put down cuz she couldn't sell her as show quality, we gave her $100 and never looked back.

They didn't come from traditional rescues, but were rescued just the same. We just kind of stumbled upon them looking. Lucky for us.

15. Yes, those are my guys...
And thanks so much for sharing your dogs' stories. My guys have sad stories, too, that I try and make have happy endings. Your pups look pretty perfect to me and they were so fortunate to have found you...

I always tell my vet, who's "one of us," that liberals love animals. :-)

Charlie (the Airedale) belonged to my BF, I also had a dog and then we adopted Jack, kind of a yours, mine and ours situation. My guys are rescue, too, but, like yours, also not the traditional rescue story. A vet tech who used to work for my vet contacted me when she was fostering Jack because she knew Meneken, my other little guy, and he's the same unusual breed, a Brussels Griffon. Jack was a pet shop rescue *sigh*, had a small hernia that was repaired when he was neutered...

I was hoping that my two little guys would get along because Meneken was missing his sister who had died earlier that year. But instead Jack totally bonded with Charlie, the two extremes of the terrier world, LOL, and they became BFF. Charlie was wonderful with him and must have been awfully lonely before Jack came along...

Here's a video of them when Jack was only five months... And you're right about who's boss. Check out who ends up with the bone... ;) (BTW, that's Meneken barking in the background.)

Jack vs. Charlie :D

16. When I woke up
this morning I had one of those headaches that you know is going to be an all day long thing. Then I read your post and watched the video, and I'm feeling better. Brought a smile to my face, thanks for sharing.

Jack won the bone, and the bone looked as big as him.

Your dogs are lucky to have found you too. We know we're giving them a good life, but sometimes I think we miss out on how much they do for us.

And like you I hate pet shops. :grr: My son had to talk his girlfriend out of getting a dog from a pet store. She had no idea where those dogs come from until he told her. I can't believe how uninformed people are. I will say though, I feel like pet store dogs need rescuing too. It's a vicious circle though, buying them, increases puppy mill :grr: business. Until the puppy mills are shut down you're always going to have pet store dogs. I think it would be great if the pet stores would refuse to take these dogs, but that'll never happen, cuz it's all about the money. :-(

Back in the day, puppies in a pet shop were often from neighborhood people who's dog unexpectedly got pregnant. Sadly, it's not like that anymore.

Hope you have a good day. :hi:

17. Thanks so much! Your post made my day, too!
My guys come from all sorts of places, and Jack's the only pet shop rescue. My vet tech's colleague (they work at the local Animal Emergency Clinic) rescued four dogs who had "health problems" and couldn't be sold, so I ended up with Jack... :loveya:

Meneken belonged to an elderly lady who died and he fell through the cracks. (Not surprising, at eight pounds... ;() He ended up with his groomer and then a guy who didn't want him because he didn't like the guy (issues with men) or his other dog, but when I called about a cocker spaniel who'd already been placed, I was told about him. We bonded on day one... :loveya:

My sweet little Sara (Meneken's sister) was found as a stray on the streets of Ohio, and was brought to this really bad place by a good Samaritan, but they still gas dogs in Ohio. She was such a nice dog that she found a place on an "underground railroad" for dogs, brought to rescue groups in NY and Vermont, where we have tougher animal protection laws. And then she found me... :loveya:

The list goes on. *sigh* I agree about pet shops, but most people don't know... They pay hundreds for not-so-healthy dogs when there are so many readily available in rescue. My BF had no idea, either, and he's another animal person. He paid a lot for Charlie who turned out to be twice as big as he expected! :wow:

Like I said, I try to give them happy endings and have never been disappointed. And they seem to find me. :loveya:

And, yes, Jack always wins with Charlie...

I had a boxer who looked like the dog in the first picture. I called Sullivan, in honor of John L. Sullivan.

10. My son named the first
one..he was much younger...Sugar.. he said she looked like brown sugar..but I also call her Lulu..don't know why.. it just seems to fit.

The second one is Izzie. Who also gets called little bit. Cuz she's the baby.

These are my second and third..my first, Taytum, had a seizure disorder, one took hold and we couldn't break it. She was with us for 4 years. She also looked like the first one.

I was hoping that the arrogance of these two didn't come through in the pictures. But alas you saw it.

And they could use a good ass kicking. :-)

24. Looks like a nice place
Your link didn't work so I googled. They're very reasonable in price. And their dogs...absolutely gorgeous. I've had three boxers, and I think they're great dogs. They can be a little stubborn, but they're very intelligent. They're clowns too. Mine make me laugh all the time. I wish I could get them to get in the pool with us, but they want no part of it.

Good luck with your puppy!

23. They are gorgeous
My parents had a boxer named "Charm" before I was born. Every morning, Charm would sit at the table with them and demand her usual toast and coffee. Her son, Clipper, was my protector when I was an infant.

25. Thank you..
They are good with children. The only thing I have to watch out for is an accidental knock down. They're so big it's easy for them knock down a small child. Of course the they just want to lick the kid to death. :-)

My first Boxer loved toast, all she had to do was hear you press down the toaster and she'd sit and wait till she got her piece.
