Sgt. Pepper in mono is absolutely fantastic!
Sounds that you haven't heard before. Different starts and endings. A sped up "She's Leaving Home." "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" with a more psychedelic, trembling vocal. If you are a Beatles fan, brought up only on the stereo version (as I was), you must hear the mono. It's a whole new experience.

1. And it will only cost you $240 to do it!
or have they released individual mono titles?

2. No, they haven't
You can still find decent buys on the mono set (have to be careful of counterfeiters), but there are some folks who sell the titles individually after they break open the box.

3. call me an iconoclast ... or an idiot but...
it's actually one of my LEAST favorite beatle's albums

sgt pepper is to the beatles as tommy is to the who

neither album is anywhere NEAR their best album, but both get tons of attention

i far prefer tommy to sgt. peppers fwiw

i love rubber soul, the white album, heck ... meet the beatles

4. No, you make valid points
Sgt. Pepper is not my favorite Beatle album. I see your point exactly. Me, my favorite album from the Beatles is Revolver.

5. i love revolver also
as for the who, i just think quadrophenia (the OTHER rock opera) is just SO much better than tommy, it's ridiculous

and on that note, what the hell is up with pearl jam's remake of love reign o'er me.

it is stupid. why remake a song, if you are going to do the EXACT same arrangement, sound, etc? what's the point

it's like karaoke

do what devo did with satisfaction. make it your own

6. It was my first album.
I got it from my sister on my 11th birthday, in mono. It is different, yes. I, too, like Revolver better.
