Anybody here use Yahoo Pipes to filter their RSS feeds?

Anybody here use Yahoo Pipes to filter their RSS feeds?
I use Google Reader for my RSS feeds, but it has no filter feature. I read an article on Lifehacker about how to use Yahoo Pipes to filter my feeds, but it doesn't seem to work. For example, I set up filters to remove any articles about the iPad or iPhone from the Mac Rumors and Gizmodo feeds. For the Mac Rumors one, articles about both still appear, and for the Gizmodo one, the new feed only shows 10 articles, even though there should be 30.

Thoughts?
