We lose an hour. I wonder why we still have it when there are a few states that don't use it. Do they use it in Canada? I don't think Hawaii uses it..or Alaska.. I know Arizona doesn't use it.

I remember the Joke in Utah when I was living there; someone told me they always turn the clocks back ten years.

14. Arizona does so only on the Navajo reservation
I lived there for 2 years, and resided very close to the Navajo reservation. Some of my co-workers who lived on the res had to adjust accordingly when coming to work in town.

Alaska does observe it.

You are correct about Hawaii. It and AZ are the only 2 states now which opt out.

Canada observes it in most provinces and regions.

When I lived in Spain in the 70's, they observed it, and still do. But now as part of the EU, it is called European Summer Time, and runs from the last Sunday in March through the last Sunday in October. Even the non-EU countries in Europe observe it.

Mexico, some nations in South America, parts of Australia, all of Russia, some nations in the middle east, and a few nations in Africa observe it.

10. Wait, what...?
...I thought it wasn't for a couple of weeks...!

The cats *are* getting up a tad early lately. :P Maybe darker in the morning would help - except for Socrates, who has taken to doing donuts in the living room at 3am no matter what.

16. According to many studies
It may really be an energy-saver. It may be the best rationale for maintaining it, even as we are no longer an agriculturally-centred society.

17. I saw some guy on TV say the opposite.
He maintained that more daylight means people are out driving around more, so they use more gasoline.
