Poll question: BUT SERIOUSLY: The best rock act of the '80s?
Edited on Thu Mar-25-04 12:02 AM by NightTrain
I'm just listing some random favorites off the top of my head. Appy-polly-loggies if I left out your favorite '80s band!

4. In the Dumpster, where they belong.
You know why Peter Cetera left Chicago to record duets with Amy Grant? It was a step up! :puke:

10. Couple good one's there...
The Police at their best were AMAZING. Alot of the others were solid performers. My fave Springsteen song is from the 70's, Rosalita!!!

I saw Talking Heads last show in NYC at the old Club 54 in 1989... TomTom Club played, then everyone came out and they've never played together since (unless I've missed something!)!!!

16. Voted Talking Heads
But REM would be my pick. The Clash would be pretty good there too. Them and The Ramones pretty much brought punk into the mainstream.

17. Since Husker Du is absent
I will vote for Talking Heads. But from "Flip Your Wig" thru "New Day Rising" to "Songs from the Warehouse and Attic" Husker Du was the best.

Dead Kennedys, the Clash, Firehose, the Cure, the Smiths, 10,000 Maniacs, Camper Van Beethoven and well almost everything I listen to was late 80's and early 90's stuff.
