Someone please tell me why they have Jennifer Lopez at the Oscars each year
She hasn't done a memorable movie since Selena and her record career is pretty much done. Isn't there a new generation of Rom-Com actresses they could ask to present that have more relevance? This woman can dump movies like Gigli on the population and still get asked to present at the Oscars

1. I was going to post this exact topic last night.
She honestly has no relevance anymore. She hasn't made a major or respected movie in years. She doesn't have an actual recording career anymore and hasn't in a long time. She wasn't really respected for her acting or singing abilities when she was popular. It doesn't make sense that she keeps showing up at these big events.

2. Same reason they have Natalie Cole at the Grammy's every year....
actually I don't know, she probably knows the booking person? I think that's how it is with Natalie Cole. There are a hundred other relevant, current great musicians than her but still she's up there every year cause she won Best Song for singing with her dead dad 20 years ago, and she's friends with the main Grammy guy.

5. Is that who that was? I figured it might be...

8. She was good in "Out of Sight"
I think they just like seeing what kind of dress she shows up in since the infamous green strappy dress thing.

11. I have no idea either.
At this point, she's pretty much one of those people who is only famous for being famous. That's good enough for Entertainment Tonight, but I thought the Academy Awards were supposed to be about people who've actually achieved something.
