Tell us your favorite story about going to the principal's office
in school.
Here's mine: When I was a senior, we had an ass of a teacher who was the biggest chauvanist ever. We were editors of the school paper, me and this other girl Megan. We weren't allowed to enforce the rules about handing in stories or redoing stories. We worked our asses off getting that paper out, with most of the stories written by us. The next semester, we retired and spent the last two hours working on the senior slide shows. The asshole teacher made a boy Editor in chief and he got to do whatever he wanted, including enforce the rules. I called the teacher a chauvanist pig bastard.

I got sent to the principal...who heard my side, told me not to disrespect teachers anymore. The teacher did end up getting written up, however. It was great being friends with the principal.

1. When I was in 5th grade....
Inspired by the spy camera episde of The Simpsons I took a picture of my own ass with my 110 camera and passed it around my bus. A high school girl who was my babysitter when I was younger turned the photo in to my pricipal. He was pissed and threw my butt in a one day in-school suspension.

2. I was in the 5th Grade.
I was required to write a poem.

Spring is sprung
Fall has fell
Autumn is here
And it's is hot as hell.

I grew up in Mississippi.

I got in big trouble for this but it was funny.

3. My story involves the newspaper, too...I was editor and for one of the
first issues of the school year, we did an expose on the conditions in the bathrooms....It was censored. I was told...ordered...to do a story on the the "King and I" which wasn't going to be produced until the following May!
I put up a big stink and the newspaper advisor even called my mother (who, by the way taught in the same school!). Well, finally, the principal called me in and told me I would be yanked as editor if I ever tried to do an expose like that again.

My revenge came that spring. I, and few of us other rebels, skipped the baccalaureate services, and went down to the tracks by the Passaic river...burned a copy of the newspaper and the literary magazine we had worked on too...came home filthy dirty with old railroad spikes as souvenirs.

We felt great!!

4. I'm not giving details but
It involved some stuff from the chemistry classroom's closet, some of the principal's clothes, and the skeleton from the biology classroom.

5. 8th grade
I got caught selling fireworks in school, they made it seem like a horrible thing, called my mom and she was mad at me over the phone.

My dad came and picked me up at school and I thought he'd be pissed but the first thing he asked me was "How much were you selling them for?" and I told him I was selling them for how much we (me and my family) bought them for when we went on vacation to South Carolina.

He looked at me and said "well, if you were going to get into trouble, you should have atleast tried to make a profit on them"

mom was still pissed though, hehe.

8. I was six years old.
A patrol girl reported me for pushing another girl into a snowbank. (I simply pushed her away, it wasn't my fault she had no sense of balance.)

I wasn't aware I was in trouble until my teacher told me to report to the principal's office.

The principal scolded me and then she SPANKED me! Yes. Spanked me through my dress. In a Northern public school.

Then she called in the custodian and tried to make me cry by making fun of me in front of him.

I went home and told my parents. They went nuts. Called her and threatened her with police and legal action, and a few illegal actions too.

It was very awkward when she had to apologize to me.

No adult at that school ever touched me again. O8)

9. 10th grade, 1986
I was wearing a t-shirt that appeared to be printed in Hebrew, but if you looked at it upside-down it read "Go Fuck Yourself." It was the second-last period of the school day and no-one had noticed, so I had started to savor the victory a tad prematurely. Then I made the error of making fun of a friend of mine for something idiotic he'd done, and he ratted me out to our English teacher. Off to the office I went... I was SO close...

BTW, if anyone knows an online source for those shirts, I'd be much obliged if you'd PM me with it. Mine's loooong gone.

11. Senior year in high school, I got sent to the vice-principal for
telling my teacher that I had lost all respect in him for his bigotry when he called my gay friend, Jennifer, chickenshit for protesting against Eminem. Earlier that day, the newspaper club had a huge debate over whether Eminem should be boycotted for his antigay slurs, and Jennifer said that he should. Mr.Murray who believes in free speech no matter what (the irony!) shouted down Jennifer and called her chickenshit. That really pissed me off, and I asked Mr.Murray to step outside into the hall with me, and then I laid into him, and told him that he should never disrespect a student like that by calling her names.

Later that afternoon, Mr.Murray sent me to the vice-principal and I got detention for being rude to him and "mouthing" back to him. Ugh.
