Speaking of photos, have you been checking in with my "Photo a Day"? http://northernvisions.smugmug.com/Photography/Photo-of-The-Day-2010/10840010_6Z4Zw#797900691_xaZF9 I'm so proud of myself - I've managed to finish almost two whole months without missing a day. :) Some days it would be so much easier to skip it, but it's a good discipline to find something worth saving every day.

Photography is the greatest hobby. Thank God for digital. :)

after we've shivered through the most severe winter in 30 years over here in Germany - priceless. Thanks, Peggy!

We had a change in weather yesterday, changing from gray and dreary to a deep blue sky with not one cloud in sight, temperature somewhere in the 50s. To be able to stand outside during lunch break and turn my face toward the sun.... it is these small things I'm learning to appreciate more and more as I become older.

Nice shot! Was this around Sunset? Just wondered why the shadow is so dark on the inner side of the wave.. Sun must have been off to the right of the wave. Its awesome though, good work!

Just a bit before sunset...I don't remember the exact time...

The shadow's dark because (I think) the water's thicker there...the sun was at an angle.

I've done some seascapes and beach scenes in the past that take on an entire new life when I converted them to B&W...just thought you might enjoy seeing that transformation....also...Sepia is cool and works well with the bright, reflective light of the sea...Keep up the great work.

I've been the family photographer since our oldest daughter was a baby, many years ago...my husband taught me at first, and then he bought me my first camera that was a little more than a toy...

Since then, I've experimented and had a lot of fun...and more than a little bit of luck too!

Posting here on DU has really opened this photographic world to me...
