Is it alright
to want to kill someone who is "just" a volunteer but behaves like she is the boss? And who decides to completely!!! change her part of the Internet presence and then keeps bugging me - but telling "Please don't feel pressured" Monday AND Tuesday morning shortly after coming to work. A person who thinks she is the center of the world?

1. Is there anything you can do about it?
Can you appeal to others who are stuck working with her, or to a REAL boss?

If not, you have to remember that you can't change her. You can only change the way you react to her. I know that is easier said than done. Sometimes, the best thing is to get out of the situation, if you can. Sometimes, if you can take it, you can outlast the person, too. My husband had to do that at his work. He stayed. The idiots left.

Good luck to you.

2. Nothing I can do about it
but taking the easy way out and following her wishes. She is married to a former minister of the state and has good standings with the big boss. I am not the only one who has problems with her.

She has NO understanding whatsoever how much work it is to change her part of our Internet presence. I offered to be responsible for our web page and normally I really enjoy it (I am the librarian here though). But her demands are contrary to each other sometimes. And to explain it to her is almost impossible.

3. Can you show her how to do it and make her responsible
for making her own changes?

Maybe in the process she will learn just how much work she is creating for you.

4. Not possible
for different reasons.

A) we want as few as possible people working on the page, otherwise the one hand doesn't know what the other does

and

B) this lady knows shit about the Internet and would totally mess up our page.

5. don't let her get under your skin
as a volunteer, she has nothing to lose, and could drag you down with her...

6. Hey Blue_Tires
:hi:  :loveya:

It takes a lot for me to get that upset. But she sure knows how to pull my strings.

Actually she has something to lose. If she loses her volunteer job here she has to go back to school and teach there again. Which she seems to avoid. I mean she is only here 2 days/week. No idea what she does the rest of the time. I guess thinking of ways to annoy us.
