When will the poor/middle class realize they are the majority?
If we make up 95% of Americans why do so many vote for rich person policy makers? I just don't get this idea that, oh I'll be rich some day. NO YOU WON'T! You may move up to upper middle class, may make more money than your parents or friends but so few people ever get rich that it is stupid to protect policies and ideals that ensure those who are rich stay that way and those who aren't stay that way. My main example is people being against removing the limit on Social Security taxes. Right now only the first $106,000 is taxed for Social Security. So someone who makes 10 million dollars pays the same as someone who makes $106,000, how stupid is that. SS could be fixed if this were stopped. I say either pay the taxes on your entire income or forfeit your benefits.

It seems to me and I may be wrong, but it seems that the poor finance the rich's tax cuts and loopholes. You want to know how to fix the economy and create jobs? Make the Trillion dollar tax cuts permanent but flip it to apply to people making under $250,000/ year. Raise the taxes on the rich back to Reagan levels since they love him so much and reduce the taxes owed by regular people. We've seen that when you give rich people more money they do not create jobs, they hoard their money and invest in stocks and credit default swaps. Making money from nothing. If the lower 95 got big tax cuts what would they do? Hoard? No. They would spend it. They would buy TV's and cars and houses and would be more likely to create a small business and employ others. They would be able to afford healthcare, they would create jobs by buying things. We would therefore need more jobs to supply the demand by more people with money.

If 95% of any country had more money to spend it would do more good than 5% having more money. By sheer volume it would help more. yeah the rich may buy more big ticket items but the bulk purchased by the middle class would dwarf those earnings. Rich people could stay rich and enjoy all that entails..well other than a continued monopoly on life. But poor/middle class people could survive, be happier, make a bigger change in their life.

I know this is a bit of a rant and I'm almost done I promise.

A person making $50,000/year now takes home about $37,000 not including health insurance. If they brought home say $40,000 before insurance wouldn't that do alot? An extra 250-300 a month. That would be huge. Contrast that with a person making 1million now takes home about $650,000. So we are to believe that someone who makes that much would suffer and the economy as a whole would suffer from taking home only a mere $600,000. Please, sooner or later and it would be nice if it were sooner, all of us in the lower 95 will realize this and demand something different. CHANGE. Stand up, poor republicans get your head out of your ass and do what is best for you. Rich people with a conscience this country allowed you to be so rich you owe it and its people a little more.

Only in The United Stupids of America can poor people be tricked into believing that taxing the rich more and the poor less is a bad thing. Bill Maher is right when he said the Tea Baggers pine for the 50's. i say give it to them. The taxes on the rich were over 70% and the economy was incredible.
