Or better yet, stay away.

I need to vent my angst. They are expecting 6 to 9 inches of snow here today and into tomorrow morning. I wouldn't give a rat's ass about snow if I didn't have to drive 415 miles in it and work outside in it. If we get the kind of snow they are calling for it will likely mean a 14 hour day for me. That is unless the snow gets the better of me or someone riding close to me and I end up in the ditch or worse. April can't get here soon enough for me.

2. I need a snow day like the youngsters get in school
My turn around point is Parkersburg, West Virginia- a little to the south of you guys. But the route I run is basically right along the I-70 corridor which the snow gods have deemed a good place to have record snow falls this year from St. Louis to D.C.

3. I'm with ya on that, Tobin. I've gotta drive to Geneva tomorrow night
for an all-day meeting on Wednesday. I have _never_ been to Geneva this time of year when there wasn't snow or freezing rain. Getting home Thursday evening should be interesting. Nope, I'm not a big fan of winter. x(

Be safe, Tobin.

Good luck in Geneva. How long of a drive is that?

5. A little over four hours.
That's nothin' by US drivin' standards, I know. But we've gotta drive over (and partially around) the Alps: lots steep grades at very high elevations. It always makes me nervous -- though not nearly as nervous as flyin' over the Alps in a 50-seat turbo-prop makes me. I'm traveling with a friend/colleague, and it's my turn to choose so I chose drivin'. :yoiks:
