2. For part of the 90's, I had a roommate who was the lead singer...

... for an immensely popular, immensely GOOD classic rock band.

He was the most incredible singer I've ever known -- could do
Joe Cocker flawlessly (sight and sound) and did Robert Plant
better than Robert Plant could ever do Robert Plant outside
of the studio.

One night, we're sitting in a quiet bar and a woman from across
the bar points at him and screams, "You're THAT guy!!!!!"

My friend, aided by about 5 or 6 double Crown Royals, focused as
well as he possibly could... and slowly, calmly replied, "What?"

She screamed a little shriller with different emphasis, "You're
that GUY!!!!!"

My friend: "Yes... yes, I am."
.
And that was it. We went back to our conversation.
