Someone just called me 'soft'...And I refuse to disagree

On my way home this morning I saw something laying on the side of the road. I stopped the car and backed up. At first I thought it was a bag but then saw it twitch. I got out of the car and walked over and found it was a small bunny that had its head tilted in a weird direction. I went back to the car and got a blanket and tried to pick it up but it tried to get away. With his head the way it was he just fell over.

I tossed the blanket over him and then curled him in my arms. I brought him home and put him in a box on our porch (because I have dogs in the house I didn't want him freaking out). I called the Humane Society Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and they'll send someone to pick the little guy up.

My friend said I should have just left it and that I was too 'soft' for refusing to leave him alone.

Yeah, I'm soft and I will wear that label proudly.

Just doesn't see life the way I do. I was never really sure why we're friends, but he's always had my back.
