That means my company is closed, too. Talk about inevitable; I couldn't get out Monday if I wanted to. Going to kick back and watch the Super Bowl; maybe an extra drink under these circumstances.

1. I hope that means NIST is closing.
My company follows what NIST does. I have a feeling it will since Montgomery County got really slammed. I could PROBABLY get out but I have a low lying car (Celica) so I'm not sure I wouldn't get stuck on a hill somewhere...

4. Montgomery County here, too. And no chance of going anywhere Monday.
We'll be lucky to get out Tuesday, too.

When the next storm hits.

3. TV. Also confirmed at the Washington Post. OPM site overwhelmed right now.
This was so inevitable; it's ridiculous the decision took this long.

5. Thanks.
My employer does not follow the federal government. I won't know until I call in tomorrow morning.

7. Hope you're okay
clearing snow is bad enough, getting injured while doing it is - well, adding insult to injury.

9. My job follows the Fed gov. too - I got their e-mail
a few minutes ago. I had already taken the day off so now when I go back to work I can cancel the leave day and still have the day off.
