I have a question about Torchwood, now watching the 2nd season.
I know there are Torchwood fans here.

Is Captain Jack gay or bi.

It is hard deal with Captain Jack, he not a human.

1. He's "omni"
and he is human, just one who will live forever thanks to Rose from Doctor Who. Jack can, will, & has done everything. :)

2. But isn't he from another planet?
That may be a spoiler if you haven't seen the whole season.

However, he is bi. As you will find out later in the season.

4. Thanks for the info.
And everybody.

I like Captain Jack.

I knew the show was tied into Dr. Who someway.

5. You also got to watch the 1st "new" Doctor Who series to understand Captain Jack.
But John Barrowman? I'll let you do that research for yourself, but I'll take him any day over Tom Cruise.

Mark.

In the context of his character he's openly open to the moment.

11. I kind of had that idea.
He really did kiss the real Captain Jack when he went back in time.

8. He is everything. By the way the actor should be a international...
...Gay Rights icon.

He is one of the coolest comfortable gay dudes on the planet. In a solid relationship just shy of 20 years and forgoes "marriage" due to not wanting ANY sanction from an institution (generally speaking) that doesn't respect his personal relationship choices.

19. John Barrowman works a lot with Stonewall...
he works as a spokesperson for them, and in helping educate the public about "teh Gay".

He already is a National Gay Rights icon... but with his exposure on BBC America and other networks... he's getting more international recognition.

sadly can't say the same about season 2 of Torchwood which I found to be.. well.. not very good is saying it kindly.

18. I just started watching season 3. I think Netflix just got it onto their streaming vids.
I thought before it was only on dvd, but streaming only has 5 episodes. I wonder if you have to get the rest on dvd?

20. Season 3 of Torchwood was only 5 episodes long - 5 excellent episodes
so you have them all. BBC ran them for 5 nights in a row. It was tight, powerful, scary and awesome.

Enjoy.

21. He's an alien with an imperative to share his genetic material anywhere he can.
He'll do anything or anyone that will stand still long enough, and he's just doing his job, according to his mission. (Did you see the episode where he was eying a poodle???)

23. Yeah, but, a male poodle? Or female?
it makes a difference to Capt Jack fans everywhere.

It probably makes no difference at all to Capt Jack.
