5. I don't eat meat.
And even when I did, I didn't eat spam

By the way, the song that's been (and still is) stuck in my head is A Golden Age by Rupert Hine :D

6. It is a long song.
The video is interesting.

Need to load it on my Ipod.

7. I've liked Rupert Hine for years.
I have couple of his albums and that's on one of them. There are more good songs out there if you like his sound and search youtube. Here's another similar one: I Hang on to My Vertigo

He was also in a band called Thinkman :)

11. I like being "disconnected" when I am away from the desktop.
So, I have a Cowon S9 for all my listening and viewing needs :D

12. I took the old IPOD to the mall, free Wi Fi.
That was fun.

Half the people there had IPOD's or laptops.

13. Yeah, people look at me strange, too, when I have my AlphaSmart out.
They don't always seem to understand my desire to not be connected and subsequently distracted by email and Internet when all I want to do is type (it's a portable word-processor only.) A few are genuinely interested and think it's cool, but not the majority, which is fine with me ;)

I am still in my IPOD childhood.

15. I'm sure you'll do fine with your IPOD.
I just don't want one. My 8-year-old phone still works fine for the most part. I may need to replace it this year sometime. I just hate the hassle of changing numbers on everything (phone lists, email address books, resume.)

It is also like having a third computer.

17. I'm not worried about getting behind on some technologies.
The few people I've known that had to have the latest and greatest in gadgets and computers weren't very interesting people to try to talk with. You'll spend a lot of money trying to keep up and never get there.

My requirement on electronics is that they last at least five years before I upgrade. That way, I don't consume so much and keep more junk out of the landfills here and abroad.

18. This IPOD will have to last for awhile.
It will come in handy at the VA hospital.

Out there it is hurry up and wait.

I can download some movies or tv shows to pass the time.

Tomorrow I have to take my father to the VA, I have two movies and some tv shows to watch.

I bought a backup battery, so I am good to go.

Time goes really slow at the VA.

19. The media player I mentioned
(Cowon S9) holds 18 hours of video or 55 hours of music, 16gb worth :)
The display uses OLED (organic LED) so it's bright and crisp. I've known people with IPODS that thought it had a better picture quality ;)

22. I like getting a new toy sometimes.
So, did you freeze these last few weeks.

Everything is really dead looking right now.

The norfork pines made it, the really tall ones.

23. I've been suffering with an injured foot the last week or so

So the cold has been extra painful. I stayed in a lot! I went out today to uncover big row of hibiscus bushes in the backyard and found all of the leaves melted from the cold.:( I don't think it's completely dead but we'll have to cut it way back. We lost a lot of shrimp, spider and other plants the beds. I'm glad this week is gonna' be nice though. :hi:

26. The cold was to much for the poor plants.
The roots should be OK, time will tell.

The big norfork pines did well, uncovered.

The two smaller ones that were covered suffered a little.

They will recover in the summer.

Sorry to hear about your foot.

I'm really looking forward to the nicer weather.
I miss getting outside but I am on the mend. Thanks!

21. My IPOD has 32 gbs, that is more then enough for me.
It holds something like 40 hours of video.

I don't remember how many hours of music.

Anything to kill time at VA, the hands on the clock goes really slowwww thereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

24. I usually like to do breathing mediation when I have long waits.

Breathe and observe, breathe and observe. I'm sure that sounds pretty boring but it works most of the time.
Hopefully you won't have to wait too long. What movies are you planning on watching. I saw Terminator Salvation the other night. It was terrible!

25. Time stops there, just stops.
One movie is called The Road, and the other is Picnic.

Plus some Have Gun Will Travel tv shows.

I have a nice mix to watch.

27. It's a time anomaly, kinda' like the one at the DMV.

I want to see The Road but haven't heard much about Picnic.
It sounds like your all set to alter the time-lag that happens there though. :)

30. I am sure that the VA hospital is in another universe.
Time is not the same as in ours.

One hour of our time is three hours in the VA universe.

32. Acid would work, too
considering I just posted the Femforce superhero Synn to that thread. She got her powers by almost OD'ing on acid :P

Deuter is a fantastic new age musician. He's been around for decades.
Goldman's music (and book) has helped me with meditation as well as learning overtoning. You might look for music by David Hykes for more in that genre :)
