Those damned music critics!

Cats. You can love them as much as you want, but it doesn't help. You can pamper them with liver and onions, or even Sheba tasty meals, and it STILL wouldn't help. You can bribe them with treats, but they will eat them and take off. And now, they're critics, and you haven't got a chance.

I've been on an Engelbert H. kick now for awhile. I was using "Man Without Love" as an alarm wakeup song, which goes off at a specified time (7:30) and even if I am wide awake, I still let it play.

Oliver is going to be approximately 7 next month. He will sleep at my side or near my head usually, whenever the "girl" isn't there. If Delenn is there, he turns around and leaves. But when he is there, he is very cuddly and loving. Except when he hears some songs, and "Man Without Love" is one of them.

He doesn't mind classical, rock, New Age, pop. He even enjoys Engelbert, evidently it's that particular song he hates. One day I tested him just to be sure. I put together a playlist with other Engelbert songs included with the "Man Without Love" song about a third of the way into the list. He stayed asleep next to me with nothing to say except purr and breathe. Nothing I played seemed to have an affect on him. Until....a full 1 second into "Man Without Love" he wakes up, jumps out of the bed, and goes away. And sure enough, a few minutes after the song was over and something else was playing, HE.COMES.BACK. Jumps on the bed, climbs to his usual spot and goes back to his catnap.

FWIW, he doesn't even mind my singing, just as long as it's not that song. Critics!
