3. If my mom posted that I am a "dick" on the internet, I'd be a "dick", too.
Eeeesh.

We all have "dick" moments and we all feel others are "dicks" at times. But I couldn't imagine putting it out there on the internet to be cached for all of time that I thought any of my family is a "dick".

But to each his own, I suppose.

Edited on Sun Nov-29-09 08:57 PM by mopinko
i guess there is no point in thinking that i have friends here that will help me through the tough times, then. not that i really do think that.

i did, however, tell him to his face.

5. Both of my sons were dicks at one point or another during their teen
years. But then they turned 21!! Yeehaa! They both instantly turned back into "normal" human beings who were great to have around again. They think I have a brain again!

Hang in there. People told me that mine would come back to me in their 20s, and they did!

Patience, grasshopper. :P

10. I feel your pain and understand. It takes years of frustration for a parent to say
the kid is a dick, a bitch, etc. No one wants admit their own little darling is lost, bad news even. I am now raising my oldest daughter's 3 children. So, yes, I understand.

11. Okay, he's really not. He's 24.
He sure might be acting like a dick, but I seriously think that young men change a lot in their mid-20s.

I met my husband when we were 26; if I'd met him when he was 24, I don't think we'd have even dated.

Sorry about your son. Give him a little time...he seems to need it. And don't beat yourself up on this.

12. I have two sons and I've seen their behavior change dramatically over time.
Hopefully, you will see your son's behavior change again soon.
Hang in there.
