Tuesday Weld an occult high priestess?
I was doing some research yesterday about the Process and other groups, and kept getting all of these hits about Tuesday Weld being instrumental in introducing occult references to many of the pop figures of the 60s and being deeply involved in the practice of magick.
What the hell?
Has anyone here heard about this?

10. Well, don't feel so bad.
I originally learned about them listening to somafm.com on one of their channels. If you want to hear good music that's new and fresh and not the overplayed crap on commercial radio, go with some of the online stations like somafm or Pandora.com :)

11. My favorite one of these is the "Hippy movement was a CIA front"
Some guy wrote all this stuff about how all these figures in the hippy movement have strong ties to the intelligence community. He says that Laurel Canyon was where the plan was hatched and leading figures in the conspiracy were John Phillips, Frank Zappa, and David Crosby among others. The author claims the hippy movement diluted the anti-war movement and that as the MIC's plan all along. He claims the real anti-war movement was with the folk singers and the student activists and he quotes Abby Hoffman as wondering where the hippies came from as they destroyed the anti-war movement. It's an entertaining read.

13. I have also read that one,and you are right; it is quite entertaining
I enjoy theories like that, not for their credibility or plausibility, but for the sheer entertainment value. Or is that just what they want me to do??? :)
Maury Terry's "The Ultimate Evil" is another highly entertaining, but specious, narrative.
