Mixed feelings about this one. (pic)
Edited on Sat Nov-28-09 09:45 PM by Prisoner_Number_Six
Taken after dark with only a dim street light above me and a cell phone camera in my hand. The subject is about a foot and a half tall.

Contemplation

1. I think you nailed it. "Mixed feelings." Do I want one in my garden?
Hell no. Do I judge the tasteless monkey who thinks it makes a tender statement? Nah.

2. My dear Prisoner_Number_Six...
I can see why you'd have mixed feelings about this...

It's a little spooky!

But I like it, and I'm glad you took the picture as well as posted it...

Thank you, sweetie...

3. As a photographer...
...I like trippy, "technically imperfect" pics.

When I got my last cell phone, I reluctantly got one with a 1.3MP camera, saying "I'll never use this because I have a digital camera," when in fact, I use it all the time.

I even built a page in my Facebook profile specifically for these photos, and I have posted 25 of them so far.

I love the "Eastman Kodak" sense of perfect color balance, lighting, etc, but I have an equal appreciation for edgy, odd stuff to.

That's why the call it "art."

4. The "in the moment" shot can mean more than a perfect setup.
The eye can at times be WAY quicker than the hand.
