Cats: can they see dead people or view other dimensions,
or are they just easily amused?

My cat will spend hours looking out the window when there is nothing, absolutely nothing to see out there. Nothing moving, nothing. What's the deal with this?

3. They're looking for something to hunt.
Cats have infinite patience in that regard.

5. Part of the cats hunting m o is to sit and wait til something comes
moving by, like a mouse or a bird, and then ... bam!
Jump on it. Then play with it a bit, give it a few chances to get away, then kill it, and maybe, just maybe, eat it.
In Africa the lions, cats also, sit in the long grass (tall grass, non smoking variety) and wait til something comes walking by. BOOM! Fresh meat.
But cats also like to roam, and explore, so he is imagining himself out there, seeing what is around the next corner.

6. A friend of mine had an interesting theory:
He posited that what we see on acid, cats see all the time.

8. Cats cannot see dead people. They think they see dead cats. Or
more precisely, they want to see a cat that has died, but was once their companion.
