Forensic experts please chime in here
I just started watching Dexter, almost done with the first season and they've just found his watery graveyard. I've noticed he has thrown a lot of his victims overboard without wearing gloves. Would finger prints still be obtainable after months/years in the sea on plastic bags?

Also, he never wears a hair net. Isn't is unrealistic that they wouldn't find ONE of his hairs mixed in with all the human remains?

2. my guess is:
probably not, on the bags.

I thought I remembered him wearing a hair net when killing? If not, that does seem like an oversight.

3. I've never seen him in a hair net
maybe he graduates to that later in the series.

4. the real truth about forensics
lies in the fact that while many investigative things are possible, there are rarely the funds to carry them out.

(I have no idea about any teevee shows or if that is relevant, but most of the time nobody looks for the detailed evidence that high priced trials/lawyers nay have access to)
