I am THERE, baby. That gives me one month to find a date. That's possible, right? Cause I'll be damned if I'm going to THAT show ALONE.

2. The popular opinion on Ronnie is that his personality stunted his career's growth
In terms of technical ability...as a musician...I'd rank him well above Eddie Van Halen, because Eddie freely admits that he only learned enough of the rules so that he could begin breaking them.

From the first "Montrose" band with Hagar, through the various instrumental periods and Gamma...holy crap, that's MUSIC.

When "Open Fire" was new and he was getting airplay with "Town Without Pity," he appeared on one of KOME's morning shows with Blazy and Bob. They'd do remote broadcasts from local bars and such and consistently had a stellar lineup of guests. Blazy commented that Ronnie was one of the most talented musicians he'd ever encountered, but when it came to his personality, he gave Attila the Hun a run for his money.

Of course, the same can be said of Eddie and Alex Van Halen, the reason for that band's non-stop revolving door of lead vocalists. Ironic that Hagar was drawn to both.

And since it's gonna be New Years Eve, and Hagar is a Mill Valley resident (when he's not in Cabo), I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a walk-on. He's done it before...the results are on YouTube.
