1. His explanation makes sense

It was many years ago on CSPAN so I really can't specify who was giving the interview.

However he said he was never a cigarette smoker so he didn't know how to smoke exactly so when he tried cannabis he wasn't doing it right meaning inhale all the way to the lung then an exhale.

I tried cannabis before I tried cigarettes and I simply inhaled into my mouth but blew out. The people I was with had to coach me up a bit and when I succeeded I got the results about 15 minutes later.

Same thing when I was beginning to smoke cigarettes. The older kids were getting angry with me because I wasn't inhaling and thus wasting the cigarettes they were handing out to me. It took practice before I could get it right.

2. I liked Obama's answer to that question.

"Well," he said, "that was sort of the point."

I just read an article about the Oxford Union having invited both Bill Clinton and Meat Loaf to be speakers there.

Bill went first, did really well, of course.

Meat Loaf, the drop-out, followed. Delivered a brilliant talk, and got a standing ovation.

I like knowing that.
