Who here hasn't done a thing about Thanksgiving tomorrow?

Thanksgiving isn't a big deal here; not sure what we'll have for dinner. I've done turkey before, veggies, etc., and w/o family around (my entire family lives on the west coast, I'm in NC and ain't NO WAY I'm traveling this weekend) my husband and I would rather just relax, make enchiladas or something yummy, and rent a few movies.

Anyone else planning a low-key holiday?

Of course, Happy Thanksgiving wishes to everyone, in the spirit of kindness and friendship and pumpkin pie. :hi:

4. enjoy your dinner! Unfortunately, the local Chinese place adds
an entire salt block to each item they cook, so we don't go there anymore.

13. Ditto,
but I may eat at nearby Vietnamese restaurant I just found, and bring something home for s.o. who'll be at his church dinner. I declined invitation.

2. My dear Flaxbee!
Not a thing!

But we're traveling out of town for the day...

Well, I guess you could say I did one thing for tomorrow: I got gas for the car! And you know, the gas station was busy!

Big surprise, not!

I hope you and your husband really enjoy your day too, sweetie!

5. Drive carefully, Peggy!
The roads are going to be nuts, esp. in So Cal. I drove from San Diego through Laguna Hills to pick up my grandmother, then on to Redlands one year. In a stick shift. Horrible horrible horrible.

Enjoy your day!

10. We will be careful, worry not!
It shouldn't be too bad; we can use the carpool lane where it exists.

Now, your drive sounded awful...that's a horrible bunch of roads to be on this time of year...:scared:

Thanks for your good wishes, sweetie...

9. I am baking two pies
right now, as I type (Pumpkin) It's 1 AM where I am BTW. But I figured, what the hell, better than doing it on top of everything tomorrow...er actually it's today now, isn't it. But to answer your question I am not doing anything by way of going anywhere or big family get together. In fact, its just me, my bro, and my mom and pop. Hell, that's the way it usually is. We end up making a lot of food just for the four of us and it gets a little depressing...but that spell is usually broken with some pumpkin pie.:P

Uh, oh, I smell something burning....

Happy Turkey Day to all and to all indigestion. :hi:

17. working 3 to 11 p.m.
but, am stopping by the ex husbands house to drop off some food and get a quick bite before I go. I know it sounds weird, but we have been divorced over twenty years and there is nothing emotional there, we just have kids and now grandkids together, so why not get along?

18. We make turkey dinner even when it's just the two of us.
Leftovers freeze well, and we thaw out a bunch for Xmas dinner.

This year though we're having dinner at a friend's house.

Happy Thanksgiving.
