5. the sad thing is that Palin is the type of person who would keep her job in a corporation
she is good looking, and knows how to schmooze the right people.

she walks around spouting empty corporate slogans and meanwhile manages to not lift a finger doing work cause she has 2-4 HR assistants.

6. I was one of the 8500+ laid off by Cisco Systems in 2001...
...a colleague from my department is still there.

She wasn't particularly good-looking, but she absolutely knew how to "schmooze the right people."

She wasn't particularly gifted or bright, but she knew how to say the right things to the right people at the right time.

And she still works for Cisco, which is fine by me, because one of the happiest days of my life was when I walked out of that place for the last time, EVEN THOUGH it meant I was "unemployed."

But some people are "political" by nature...that's all they've got...and they know how to get in the stream and keep pace with the other fish.
