Who has tons to do and doesn't want to do a damn thing?
Edited on Wed Nov-25-09 12:44 PM by tigereye
(for work or just general slothfulness/Oblomovness)

That would be me -I need to clean the house, and clear off the table, and go to the bank, do a little more paying work and get chocolate. But do I? No. I just sit here!

19. I am pretty bad these days.
I am sitting here thinking how I am getting sicker at my stomach. Realize it is probably because I have not eaten but do not want to eat anything. Don't want to get up and look for something I can force myself to eat. The growling in my stomach is getting louder and still I sit here looking for something to encourage me to want to go on living. (DU general discussions are not doing that these days.)

Self pity is not helping me out much, so I think about stopping myself from doing that. Wish I had some milk chocolate, that would raise my spirits and stop my stomach growling at the same time. Chocolate becomes my focus as I sit here thinking about the work going undone and the hunger that keeps growing. Chocolate......

Maybe I should go start making the pie for tomorrow....Chocolate.........

:dilemma:

What a C.F. that place was today. It didn't help that every octagenerian driver in southern NH was toodling around the parking lot.

Some day we will have nice chairs - probably when I'm 70 or something.

I'm glad you got your chair covers. Having something pretty and festive seems to help to improve the mood. Chocolate does too. :)

I can so relate to your chair situation. Mine are over 30 yrs old now. After being through two boys growing up and a 100lb dog who would climb up and sit in them because he thought he could do whatever the cats did, well you can imagine. They need refinished...maybe someday.

37. I just finished one major thing: laundry.
I just need to get some clothes together for my drive tomorrow, but the next "big" thing is picking out some of my photos from my trip to NZ for showing the family and loading them on my media player (easier than printing and I can zoom in on photos.) Of course, there are hundreds to sift through...

On top of that, fighting off sleep as I couldn't fall asleep last night and have been awake since 4:45pm yesterday. And that was only a 3-hour nap. So, I'm running on fumes right now...

41. Ever since I was a young little girl, I knew I was gonna grow up to be the best slacker ever.
And lo and behold! I've moved heaven and earth to live a life of total procrastination--while ensuring no one around me demanded anything more. I think I've made it to Slacker Nirvana.

Let me share my secrets: You make sure you never are obligated, you never make time-sensitive promises (ie, I promise to love you FOREVER) you live just below the limbo stick of expectations, so that when you actually do follow through and get up of your ass, your friends and family are inordinately proud of you.

Works every time. A C+ on your report card is cause for a party, because it's surrounded by D's and F's. So if you're like me, and just the thought of your daily chores overwhelms you like a climb up Kilimanjaro, just sit at the foot of the mountain in complete inertia and give 'em all a sheepish smile.

actually, I'm usually not that much of a slacker - I have a small business, a kid that I have to shlep around, and do a lot of volunteer stuff, too. But holidays do bring out the slacker in me! (plus I was one of those people who had to get an A in high school - but I relaxed quite a bit in college.)
