Anybody else thrilled that both Stanford and Gonzaga lost???
Now, let me point out that if either team had won it all, I would have thought that was fine. But since I'm not a real fan of either team, I just love it when there are upsets in the early rounds--that's what makes the tournament so exciting for me. It really does make it seem as if anyone has chance!

8. Hehe...
it's ok. I had Syracuse winning last year, and won my pool in a landslide, so it's karma that I do really badly this year

3. Yes
Go Wolfpack! Texas Tech is gone so I am left to root for the pack. My brackets are fucked beyond belief but I actually did pick Gonzaga and Stanford losing in the 2nd round. Stanford hasn't impressed me at all despite their record and the 2 games I seen Nevada play in during the regular season they impressed me including an upset win over Kansas.

4. I thought Stanford would lose to UCONN in the regional final...
...I really thought they were better than they turned out to be, but certainly not the top team. As for Gonzaga, same thing.

6. I want Nevada to go all the way
But I picked Georgia Tech to knock them off in the next round though. Who did you pick as final 2 teams? I have Georgia Tech vs Uconn in the final. It was a guess, this is one of the harder tournaments to predict because of the parity.

10. UCONN vs Kentucky, although I hope I'm partly wrong
Really don't like Kentucky, and since I'm rooting for UCONN it will be awful if they lose to KY in the final!

7. I like Stanford
I can't believe that they were so sloppy and I was bummed that they lost. Of course my local Pitt boys were pretty sloppy last night and still managed to win. But Alabama really played well and deserved to win.

9. I like Stanford too
But there were many games where a sub 50 team when keep it close but Stanford always managed to pull ahead in the end. Believe it or not I actually picked Southern Illinois to beat Stanford, I had Southern Illinois over Alabama in the previous round.

11. Happy that Maryland lost
As a resident of Northern VA and the son of Virginia grad, it is my duty to despise Maryland. Plus, the pro UMD bias in the local is just ridiculous

12. Pretty ambivalent
I don't have a dog in this fight now that Florida's gone.

I would have liked Gonzaga to make it, though. Even with their #2 seed, I felt the Zags were an underdog. I can't remember the last time a mid-major made it to the Final Four.

Stanford was pretty overrated from the start. They deserved the #1 seed, IMO, but I didn't think they'd make it all the way. The Pac 10 was bad this year, and Stanford was the only team to make it to the weekend. It seems that the Cardinal has good regular seasons, but can't put it together and make an extended run in March.
