I think basketball for me. Probably a point guard.

It's a great sport and it demands that you be in good shape.

and joined the chicago league of lady arm wrestlers.

(not quite a professional gig, but she gets to wear a cape and has theme music.)

I couldn't find a photo of her wrestling, but this is from one of their tournaments:

Sadly, she lost her first match (against Steve Buscemi's cousin, she tells me).

6. Football
I tried out for the NFL. Tight end. Wasn't a good day biorhythmwise. Actually it was more about athletic skill. I was always good, never great. I started with my first team at age 5. I played until I was 35. LOVED the game.

I wanted to catch, but when I was age six a "coach" told me "lefties can't be catchers." Oh, well.

I was a damned good first baseman for many years.

You're a lefty too? :loveya:

I always preferred to play first base, but I had a manager who would play me at THIRD, which may be the worst infield spot for a lefty.

17. Toss up. Football/soccer and baseball.
I love both sports, both totally different in levels of fitness and talent. I guess it would come down to if I had the choice as an average player, or an elite player. Average MLB salary is roughly $3 million. Average EPL salary is $1.2 million or so. Elite players make $20 million in the MLB and in most of the bigger football leagues.

Baseball position: left field. Good glove skills, HR hitter.
Football/soccer position: Striker. Because sliding across the field with my shirt over my head sounds like fun.

I always wanted to be a gymnast. I was somewhat decent when I was a kid and teenager. I could tumble around pretty good, but never like they do at the Olympics of course. I could do back-handsprings, and I was pretty limber, but I am amazed at that damned balance beam.

31. Jackman, car cheif, or driver - Oval, roadrace, or off-road
Jackman is like a baseball catcher or football center. Need to think fast on your feet, and be a physical BEAST..

Car Chief combines aspects of position coach, trainer, and equipment specialist.

Driver - yeah, they're atheletes. Like a football quarterback,or a hockey goalie, you need to be cool under combat conditions, and not lose your objective or technique, even while the sharks are circling....

35. Baseball. Even though I prefer watching football. As far as
actually playing goes, if I was really good, I think I'd love baseball (and I love "Field of Dreams") IMO it's the most "laid back" of the professional sports. I get a kick out of it when I see the guys who are in the dugout just kinda standin' there watching when they're not up. Heck, I could probably even get some reading done! I think I'd like to be a home run hitter when my team's at bat and playing in the outfield... when the other team's up..."put me in coach, I'm ready to play...".

37. Football, probably a fullback or running back.
I played a little sandlot, never for school, and I remember taking the ball to the house with 2 guys on my back. Didn't like school, though, and never wanted to play for the team.

A lifelong malcontent, I guess....

51. Football for me
Probably a defensive tackle, as that's what I played in my lone practice days playing football in Texas. That was in the fifth grade, and fate conspired to have us move back to Missouri. There was no football in my school until the year after I graduated, so that ruined that dream very quick.
