Let's play a new game called "I've been there too..."
Edited on Tue Nov-24-09 04:51 PM by MrScorpio
I'm starting the game by posting a place that I've been, if you've actually been there as well, reply with "I've been there too". You can then post a place of your own.

The process repeats until no one posts anymore.

The last person to post without a reply is the winner!

Let's play.

I've been on the observation deck of the Empire State Building

3. I've been there, too.
Next one:

The great Stone Circle, ringing the English village of Avebury. A more incredible sight than Stonehenge, and much larger in scale.

In January. Vicious winds. :scared:

I've been in the snickleways (alleyways only wide enough for people, not vehicles) of the walled city of York, UK.

I love York. Walked the walls there, too, back in 2001.

Anyone been to the Roman baths in Bath, England?

(Hee--can I respond to my responder like this?)

Walked the walls in York, visited the baths in Bath as well.

I climbed Solsbury Hill--yep, THAT Solsbury Hill--same trip. Anyone? Anyone?

9. Nope, different, although there was an Iron Age hill fort on top of Solsbury Hill
but when I was there all I could see was a mess o' cows. And rain.

Solsbury Hill (of Peter Gabriel song fame) is near Bath; Old Sarum is in Hampshire. :hi:

11. Okay. Easy to get confused with place names in the UK (so many of them identical or similar).

12. Totally agree--very confusing
Guess that just means I'll have to go a third time to investigate other, similar locations!
