How are you today?

Day two with no library software. Which now brings me to cleaning my desk. Sorting through papers that got collected here, throwing away papers which aren't needed anymore. Putting away papers that are still needed. All that to not sort in catalog cards :rofl:

Tonight I maybe might have a date. Talked to the guy Saturday evening (he called and asked if we could meet) and we decided to meet tonight. But didn't set a time. So I am hoping the guy calls. If it happens good, if not ok too.

5. Oh, I can relate to that, but

now I've got an extra file cabinet where I can hide papers, etc.

Just got a new phone and am upset. Went on-line to activate it, and says it's activated, which of course it's not. On-line help pages are not working and customer service (as in talking to a real person) doesn't open for an hour. Grrrrrr . . .

Oh, before I forget, I do hope your guy calls and you have a nice meeting.

We will get a new xerox tomorrow. Well not really new but a much newer model than the one we have at the moment. Ours belongs into a museum.

new copier. Our department got one several months ago and we were having problems with it. There are three paper trays, each with a specific purpose and some people could not print to certain trays. Additionally we can't get the fax to work. So we called IT and a guy came and proceeded to tell us how to choose a paper tray from the options menu. Because it took so long for someone to even come over and "attempt" to fix our problems the boss was a little "short", and clearly pointed out to him that we knew how to set printer options, etc. He was so condescending it was to the point of being rude. He still didn't believe us, but lo and behold when he attempted to select the same job(s), the printer did not work. As he was showing us how to use the fax portion, again being condescending telling us how easy it was to use, again this feature did not work. He said "he'd look into the problems and get back to us". Well, we're still waiting. Sheesh . . .

A quiet evening sounds good. I haven't had one of those in awhile. I've got class tonight, and then I think some of us are going to hit the pub afterward. The class has a guest lecture who is speaking on how we see from the neuroscience point of view, and if the reading is anything to go by, we will definitely need a drink after. :silly:

You may have a date tonight? Congrats! :applause: It's been quiet here with people going out of town or having people coming over and preparing for the big dinner on Thursday. Most places (non-retail) are closed on Thursday and some are closed on Friday.

I will spend it with my parents at the big church dinner. Both of my parents don't get around well (have to use walkers and canes) and it's easier to use the big flat space and tables there. Take care of yourself while you're young and strong, you don't want to be old and ill.
