I just beat it and... well... great game, but a big ol' WTF for the ending.

Without any spoilers, you more or less come away from the final mission with jack diddily except some ammo.

There's an interesting twist, plot wise, but I was hoping to get some bad-ass weapon or upgrade or something

1. I heard it's more of a multiplayer type game......
and I don't do multiplayer games, I'll give it a rental though.

2. the gameplay is great
I HATE multiplayer, or at least online multiplayer. I play games to get AWAY from people. But this game has a good interface, I like the weapons, the world's pretty cool.

The loot drops are what's annoying. The final boss dropped more or less worthless junk.

As an aside, I am sick and tired of game designers counting on multiplayer to pull their project through. That's what made Modern Warfare 2 so-so, as well as the two Halo sequels

3. Lol same here.....
I hate having to play with other people, I play games to get away from people too. It's unfortunate that all game reviewers nowadays mark down games that don't have multiplayer on them. Game designers see this so they add multiplayer where none in needed to get better reviews. Anyways the reviews I read were good overall for Borderlands so I'll have to try it out, but not before Assassins Creed 2 }(

4. AC2 is next on the list :D
I enjoyed the first one, though I'm hoping the fighting is a little more dynamic. Once you figured out the formula, you could fight for ten hours without getting more than a scratch or two
